UPDATE: Russian night attacks on Ukraine leave 11 dead

At least 11 people have died and dozens more have been injured following Russian attacks on Ukraine, officials said on Saturday.

Utilizing Shahed drones and missiles, the Russian forces targeted several regions within Ukraine overnight.

Authorities in Kharkiv reported that at least seven people were killed and 11 injured in the city as a result of Shahed-drone strikes.

The city's mayor Ihor Terechow condemned the attack, which targeted civilians, denouncing Russia as a terrorist state.

In the Zaporizhzhia region, a missile strike claimed the lives of four civilians and left 25 others wounded.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russian forces launched a total of 32 Shahed missiles overnight, with 28 being successfully intercepted. Ukrainian forces also managed to down three out of six incoming missiles.

Russian air attacks on Ukraine have been ongoing on a daily basis. Ukrainian officials stated that in the previous month alone, over 400 missiles of various types were used by Russian forces, along with 600 Shahed drones.
