A large-scale air alert remains in effect across Ukraine as the country faces a barrage of missile strikes from Russian forces.
The Operational Command of Poland released a statement detailing the situation: "It was a very busy night for the entire air defense system in Poland, as a massive missile attack by the long-range aviation of the Russian Federation covered the entire territory of Ukraine, including the regions bordering Poland."
Explosions were reported in the Khmelnytskyi region of western Ukraine, as Russian forces launched cruise missiles and assault drones.
Late Thursday evening, the Ukrainian Air Force noted the departure of four Russian strategic bombers, heightening the alert across the region.
The DOSZ (Polish Armed Forces Operational Command) assured that the Polish Army is closely monitoring developments in Ukraine and remains on high alert to safeguard Polish airspace. Throughout the night, air alerts were declared in multiple Ukrainian regions due to the ongoing missile and drone attacks.
