The SBU said on Friday that the student “marked on the maps the coordinates of the training buildings, training grounds and barracks of the institute, as well as the production facilities of the military-industrial complex … [and] took hidden photos of the objects with reference to the area.”
Investigators allege the cadet filed detailed reports to an FSB handler that included the daily schedule and locations of fellow trainees.
He was charged with high treason committed under wartime conditions, a crime that carries a potential life sentence and confiscation of property in Ukraine.
The suspect is being held without the right to bail while the SBU’s cyber-intelligence branch continues to examine digital evidence seized during the arrest.
