The event will take place on October 27 as part of a partnership between Polish Radio and the Ukrainian broadcaster.
Listeners will be able to take part live at 10 a.m. Warsaw time (11 a.m. in Kyiv), following a reading by Ukrainian actress Natalya Sumska on Polish Radio for Ukraine.
Journalists from the station and invited guests will join the event at Polish Radio’s Władysław Szpilman Studio in Warsaw.
The annual project, now in its 25th year, traditionally marks the Day of the Ukrainian Language and Literacy in October.
It brings together millions of Ukrainians around the world who simultaneously write the same text—in schools, universities, homes, offices, libraries, on trains and even on the front line of the war with Russia.
This year’s text was written by Ukrainian author and cultural scholar Yevheniia Kuznetsova and will be read by Sumska, who is also known in Poland.

“The idea of the Ukrainian dictation was inspired by Poland’s National Spelling Contest. We are joining the Ukrainian project for the first time at the invitation of our partners from Suspilne, and we are delighted to take part,” said Natalia Bryżko-Zapór, director of Polish Radio’s international service.

Organizers say broadcasting the dictation on Polish Radio for Ukraine will serve as a symbol of unity between Poles and Ukrainians, and between Ukrainians who remain in their homeland and those who have found refuge in Poland during the war.
The broadcast will air on Polish Radio for Ukraine via DAB+ digital radio, the website polskieradio.pl, and the Polskie Radio and TuneIn apps.
