Regional authorities in Zaporizhzhia reported “at least 20” heavy drone strikes and eight missiles, damaging a dormitory and five apartment blocks.

“There are already 13 wounded,” said Ivan Fedorov, head of the regional military administration, adding the injured children are aged three to six.

Ukraine’s air force said drone groups operated over the Lviv region near the Polish border, with attacks also reported in the Ternopil, Rivne, Vinnytsia and Khmelnytskyi regions in the country’s west.

Energy Minister Svetlana Hrynchuk said a massive drone and missile attack on power infrastructure forced electricity use restrictions in all regions of Ukraine.

The Operational Command of Poland's Armed Forces said that, in response to Russia’s attack on targets in Ukraine, Polish and allied aircraft were scrambled in Polish airspace on Thursday morning.
