Finance Minister Andrzej Domański is leading preparations for the event, which will bring together business leaders, experts, and political figures from around the world to discuss postwar recovery efforts.
Tusk expressed hope that a ceasefire or end to the war will pave the way for “a major plan to rebuild Ukraine,” involving large-scale investments and international cooperation. “It’s good that Poland will organize this global conference,” he said.
Tusk is expected to travel to Kyiv with Domański ahead of the conference. He described the visit as a sign of support for Ukraine, noting that his Ukrainian hosts told him the presence of foreign leaders “always somewhat deters the Russians,” especially amid renewed strikes on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
The announcement comes as Ukrainian, American, and Russian delegations are scheduled to meet Wednesday in Abu Dhabi for renewed talks on ending the war.
