“I am already back in Kyiv after two very intense days at the Munich Security Conference,” Zelensky wrote on social media. “There were many meetings; the most important thing is that there will be new support packages for Ukraine.”
He said the priority is missiles for air defense systems capable of intercepting Russian ballistic missiles, which Moscow has used during winter strikes on Ukrainian power plants and heating facilities.
“That is why in Munich we discussed this with virtually every leader who can really help us,” Zelensky said, adding that he also held talks with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio. “We hope the arrangements will work as they should. Air defense is a daily necessity.”
Zelensky said meetings and work on new energy-related aid packages are expected in the coming week, including assistance for post-strike reconstruction and essential equipment. “I want to thank everyone who is already helping,” he said.
