Russians fired dozens of missiles and drones at civilian targets in and around Kyiv overnight, including a hypersonic ballistic missile 'Oreshnik'. According to Ukrainian authorities, residential buildings, a school, and a business center were damaged. Two people were killed in Kyiv, and two more in the surrounding area. Further 56 were reported injured.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced that thirteen of the injured were hospitalized, three of whom are in serious condition. The head of the city's military administration, Tymur Tkachenko, reported that a nine-story residential building in the Shevchenkivskyi district in the central-western part of the city was among those hit by shelling.
In several places, people were trapped in shelters after entrances were blocked by debris. Damage was reported in all districts of the Ukrainian capital.
The head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Mykola Kalashnyk, reported that at least three people were injured in the Kyiv Oblast, and damage was reported in virtually all areas of the region. Private homes, apartment buildings, warehouses, businesses, and outbuildings were damaged. Rescuers, medics, and police continue to work on the scenes.
