1920 Battle of Warsaw Special

During the Battle of Warsaw, Radzymin, northeast of the capital, was the scene of some of the fiercest fighting;  To mark the centenary of the Battle of Warsaw, public broadcaster Polish Radio released a double cd album featuring recollections of commanders and soldiers, recordings of Polish military songs, as well as a rich selection of photographs, posters and newspaper articles from the 1920s. Commemorations of the Battle of Warsaw coincide with the peak of the August pilgrimage season. August 15 is also the Catholic feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, one of the most important Marian celebrations in the Polish calendar.  Zobacz więcej na temat:
