The festival, organized for the first time in the year 2000, brings together lacemakers among others from Austria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Estonia, France, Spain, Germany, Russia and Britain.
Besides Koniaków, Bobowa is one of the villages in Poland most famous for traditional laces.
