Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki sang alongside pupils at a primary school in Radzymin near Warsaw.

He said that that Poles rarely sing the anthem.

"We should want to hear the national anthem as often as possible, because it is a sign of unity, the unity of our nation," he added.

Poland marks Independence Day on Monday. Last year’s celebrations were particularly high profile as the country marked the centenary of regaining its independence after more than 120 years of foreign rule.
