The latest opinion poll was carried out by pollsters Social Changes for the wpolityce.pl website, Polish state news agency PAP reported on Thursday.
If the elections were taking place now, 39% of respondents declared they would vote for the ruling United Right camp, led by Law and Justice, the same percentage as in the previous Social Changes/wpolityce.pl poll last week.
Meanwhile, 30% of those asked said they would vote for the Civic Coalition, also the same percentage as last week.
The far-right Confederation came third, with 10% of respondents declaring they would cast their vote for the grouping, one percentage point more than last week, the PAP news agency reported.
If the elections were held now, The Left would come fourth, with 9% of respondents declaring their support for them, one percentage point fewer than last week, according to wpolityce.pl.
The Third Way, which comprises the centre-right Poland 2050 and the rural-based Polish People’s Party (PSL), would finish fifth, with 9% of those asked saying they would cast their vote for the alliance, up from 8% last week, the PAP news agency reported.
Meanwhile, a total of 71% of respondents said they would take part in the parliamentary elections on October 15, up from 69% the week before, wpolityce.pl reported.
The survey was conducted on September 22-25 through computer-assisted web interviews on a nationwide sample of 1,052 Poles, representative in terms of gender, age and location size, the PAP news agency reported.
In a Pollster/Super Express survey published on Monday, Law and Justice was backed by 36.76% of respondents, with the Civic Coalition coming second on 30.44%, Third Way third on 9.81%, The Left fourth on 9.72% and Confederation fifth on 8.67%.
Last month, Poland's lawmakers approved a government plan to combine the parliamentary elections scheduled for October 15, with a nationwide referendum on issues including the retirement age and illegal migration.
Voters will head to the ballot box to elect 460 new MPs and 100 senators for a four-year term.
The ruling conservative Law and Justice party and its government coalition allies have maintained a clear lead over the opposition in most recent surveys, polling ahead of the centrist Civic Coalition (KO), the far-right Confederation group, and the Third Way coalition of the rural-based Polish People’s Party (PSL) and the centre-right Poland 2050 grouping.
The ruling conservatives in 2019 won a convincing victory over opposition parties at the ballot box, securing a second term in power.
