Jacek Siewiera, head of the National Security Bureau, announced that Polish citizens who were staying in the war-torn Gaza Strip "crossed the border crossing in Rafah and are on the Egyptian side. The process has started. The Air Force, following the president's decision, is ready to carry out the evacuation," he said.

Poland’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs pointed out that this is a huge success thanks to the employees of the Polish embassies in Tel Aviv, Ramallah, and Cairo, as well as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs itself, “who do not stop trying to ensure that our compatriots leave the war zone as quickly as possible”.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Paweł Jabłoński added that the evacuation of the remaining Poles in the Gaza Strip is underway.

In a post on social media, Jabłoński thanked all Polish diplomats, consuls, employees of embassies in Egypt, Palestine, and Israel, and the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. "Many days of work paid off today. Poland is grateful for your service!", he pointed out.

On Saturday, Jacek Siewiera, who made an unannounced visit to Tel Aviv, informed that about 25 Polish citizens were still in the Gaza Strip, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.
