Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced the new appointments at a press conference on Tuesday, Polish state news agency PAP reported.

Tusk said that Agnieszka Kwiatkowska-Gurdak would head the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau (CBA), while Col. Rafał Syrysko would take over as the head of the Internal Security Agency (ABW).

Col. Paweł Szota will lead the Intelligence Agency (AW).

Earlier in the day, the defence ministry announced the appointment of Col. Dorota Kawecka as the new head of the Military Intelligence Service (SWW) and Gen. Jarosław Stróżyk to lead the Military Counterintelligence Agency (SKW).

The prime minister told reporters he had made the changes at the helm of Poland's security services following discussions within the governmental Security Services Committee and considering the president's opinion.

Tusk said the new appointees were experienced intelligence and anti-corruption officials and expressed confidence in their "very good, loyal, and disciplined cooperation," the PAP news agency reported.
