Pollster CBOS said trust in the president increased by 3 percentage points compared with a similar survey a month earlier.
At the same time, 35 percent of respondents said they did not trust Duda, unchanged from the previous month, Polish state news agency PAP reported on Thursday.
President-elect Karol Nawrocki, who is set to succeed Duda as head of state next month, came in second, with 48 percent.

Far-right leader Sławomir Mentzen, who finished third in the first round of Poland's presidential election in May, was named the third-most trusted politician in the country, with 45 percent of those surveyed saying they have confidence in him.

Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski finished fourth, with 44 percent, narrowly ahead of Warsaw Mayor Rafał Trzaskowski, who lost the June 1 presidential runoff to Nawrocki, the PAP news agency reported.

Meanwhile, opposition leader Jarosław Kaczyński is the most distrusted politician in the country, according to the survey.

Fifty-three percent of respondents said they distrusted Kaczyński, while 52 percent said the same of far-right politician Grzegorz Braun.
Prime Minister Donald Tusk and lawmaker Roman Giertych tied for third place in terms of distrust, each with 51 percent, CBOS reported.
The survey was carried out from July 3 to 13 on a sample of 970 respondents.
