“These reactors are a ‘real opportunity,’” Tusk said during a Friday address before a meeting of his reshuffled government.

“Let’s deal with this quickly and conclude the proceedings regarding these most modern medium modular nuclear reactors.”

Tusk added that Poland is already building a “large” nuclear power plant and is finishing work on the site for a possible second big facility, which will also need a swift directional decision.

He noted that the first large wind turbines are being installed on the Baltic.

“We’ll probably go and see how it works,” he said.
