The Warsaw talks will cover Polish-Canadian relations and cooperation between the two countries in the domain of defence and security. Poland is Canada's largest trading partner in Central and Eastern Europe. In 2024, Polish exports to Canada were worth $2.26 billion, and imports $1.8 billion. For several years, Poland has been running a surplus in this trade.

Earlier on Sunday, the Canadian Prime Minister was in Kyiv, where he participated in Ukraine's Independence Day celebrations. Mark Carney announced that Ukraine would receive drones, ammunition, and armoured vehicles in September from an aid package worth over $700 million. He emphasized that his country will remain a reliable ally of Kyiv.
