The Regional Prosecutor’s Office in Lublin said Gerbera drones were recovered in Cześniki (Zamość county), Czosnówka (Biała Podlaska county) and Wielki Łan (Włodawa county).
Investigators found 32 fragments in Cześniki and intact machines at the other two sites, spokeswoman Beata Syk-Jankowska said. No explosive materials were detected.
Gerbera is described as a Russian decoy drone intended to overload air-defense systems. It is a cheaper counterpart to the Iranian Shahed-136, produced in Russia as the Geran-2, the office said.
Work to identify other objects continues. Polystyrene elements of an unmanned craft were found in Krzywowierzba Kolonia and Wyhalew (Parczew county), and another polystyrene drone in Wohyń (Radzyń county). These, too, contained no explosive charges, Syk-Jankowska said.
An unidentified flying object struck a residential house in Wyryki Wola (Włodawa county), causing damage; inspections of the building are under way. Another site was reported in Kolonia Zabłocie (Biała Podlaska county), where services are still determining the type of machine.
Prosecutors are conducting scene examinations with Military Police and Police officers, supported by explosive-ordnance specialists, the Fire Service and other state services.
All incidents will be handled under a single investigation by the 8th Military Affairs Division of the Lublin District Prosecutor’s Office, the spokeswoman said.
