LOT Polish Airlines cancelled flights to Dubai until March 4 and to Riyadh until March 8, following US and Israeli strikes on Iran at the weekend and subsequent Iranian retaliation, which prompted several Middle Eastern countries to close their airspace.
Flights to Tel Aviv remain suspended until March 15.
Klimczak said the situation was "changing on an ongoing basis" and that LOT was following all safety procedures set by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), which had advised European carriers to halt Middle East operations until March 6.
Infrastructure Minister Dariusz Klimczak speaks to public broadcaster Polish Radio on Tuesday, March 3, 2026.
Some flights between Dubai and Poland are already taking place, operated by foreign carriers not bound by EASA guidelines, he said.
A Flydubai aircraft landed in Warsaw and a second flight arrived in the western city of Poznań on Tuesday morning, with a further one expected in the Polish capital at 7:30 p.m. local time.
