The G League is the NBA's official developmental league. The season begins on November 6.

Sochan, 23, was released by the Portland Trail Blazers earlier this month.

The Texas Legends are the NBA affiliate of the Dallas Mavericks.

Sochan's move to the Legends does not limit his NBA options to Dallas, and he can negotiate with any NBA team during the season if another club is interested in him, Polish state news PAP reported.

Sochan began his NBA career four years ago with the San Antonio Spurs, who selected him ninth overall in the draft and signed him to a four-year contract.

His first seasons were successful, but he later lost his place in the starting lineup. The Texas club terminated his contract in February.

Two days later, Sochan signed with the New York Knicks through the end of the 2025/2026 season.

He won the NBA championship with the Knicks but saw little playing time and made a limited contribution to the title run.

In August, Sochan signed a one-year contract with the Trail Blazers. The deal was non-guaranteed, meaning Portland could terminate it at any time without paying the salary specified in the contract, the PAP report said.
