Wewiór stressed that this is not an early dismissal but the natural conclusion of Ambassador Kwiatkowski’s four‑year term. “Our goal, of course, is to have a new ambassador in the post,” he said.
Kwiatkowski was appointed Ambassador to the Holy See on April 11, 2022, and was simultaneously accredited to the Order of Malta. Previously, he served as Secretary of State in the Chancellery of the President, responsible among other things for matters related to the Polish diaspora. From 2015 to 2017, he served as Chief of the President’s Office.
