The initiative, organized as part of the Academy of Civil Protection and Civil Defence (Akademia OLiOC), is designed to help residents understand emergency warning systems, identify reliable information and respond appropriately when an alarm is issued.
According to Szczepański, the campaign will be conducted by the State Fire Service and the Ministry of the Interior and Administration (MSWiA), with the participation of provincial governors. The nationwide event, known as the National Response Training, is scheduled for Saturday, August 29.
From the morning onwards, Academy OLiOC information and training points are expected to operate at thousands of locations across Poland. These will include city centres, tourist destinations, volunteer fire stations, libraries and cultural centres.
Visitors will be able to learn how to distinguish an official emergency announcement from a false warning, as well as how to recognize different alarm signals and understand what action should be taken in an emergency.
The scale of the program has continued to grow. MSWiA said that more than 276,000 people have taken part in Academy OLiOC events since the beginning of 2026.
