A total of 224 MPs on Thursday night voted to defeat a no-confidence motion put forward against Sports Minister Kamil Bortniczuk by the opposition.
Meanwhile, 213 deputies supported the motion, and four abstained, state news agency PAP reported.
The bid had little chance of succeeding because the country’s governing conservatives hold a comfortable majority in parliament.

The vote came after the opposition last month accused Bortniczuk of being politically responsible for the actions of his deputy Łukasz Mejza, whom he recommended for the job, according to his critics, and who stepped down from his government role last month amid allegations of fraudulent business practices.
Conservative politicians including Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki defended Bortniczuk in parliament, saying he was a good minister amid efforts by the government to "make better use of sports for the benefit of the country and its people."
Bortniczuk became the new sports and tourism minister in October as part of a government reshuffle in Warsaw.
Mejza in December stepped aside from his Cabinet duties to defend himself against allegations over his controversial business dealings, news outlets reported.
The Polish prime minister at the end of last month dismissed Mejza from his role as a deputy sports minister, the PAP news agency reported.
