The renewed confrontation between Iran and its long-time foes threatened to further dim hopes for a diplomatic solution to Tehran's nuclear dispute with the West, according to Reuters.
Meanwhile, in a X post on Saturday, Poland's Defence Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz wrote that, following the morning strikes, "information from the heads of military diplomatic missions — particularly in Israel and the US — is being continuously received and analysed,”
“Relevant services are also working, providing the latest information and analysing further scenarios”, he added.
Polish military contingents are stationed in the Middle East in Lebanon and Iraq. The Lebanon deployment consists of troops serving under the UNIFIL mission where up to 250 soldiers are currently deployed.
In Iraq, up to 350 Polish troops are stationed as part of the Global Coalition against the Islamic State, focusing primarily on training Iraqi security forces.
