Polish carrier LOT has canceled flights to Dubai through March 6 and scrapped two additional services to Riyadh scheduled for March 12 and 15, citing European aviation safety guidance, its spokesman said on Tuesday.
Warsaws Chopin Airport said 66 flights between Warsaw and Gulf countries and Israel have been canceled since Saturday, including eight on Tuesday, affecting routes such as Dubai, Doha and Tel Aviv, airport spokesman Piotr Rudzki told Polish Press Agency (PAP).

“Polish Airlines LOT, in line with the recommendation of the European Union Aviation Safety Agency, has decided to cancel flights to Dubai through March 6 and to cancel two further flights to Riyadh on March 12 and 15. Connections to Tel Aviv remain suspended through March 18 inclusive,” spokesman Krzysztof Moczulski wrote on X.

He said LOT’s operational teams were in ongoing contact with passengers about rebooking.

The cancellations come after Saturday air strikes on Iran by the United States and Israel and subsequent Iranian retaliation, which led many Middle East countries to close their airspace.

The EU Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) said on Saturday there was a high risk to civil aviation in the airspace of Iran and neighboring countries hosting U.S. bases, and recommended operators halt flights.

Warsaw’s Chopin Airport said 66 flights between Warsaw and Gulf countries and Israel have been canceled since Saturday, including eight on Tuesday, affecting routes such as Dubai, Doha and Tel Aviv, airport spokesman Piotr Rudzki told Polish Press Agency (PAP).

Rudzki said one Flydubai aircraft landed in Warsaw on Tuesday morning and another arrival from Dubai was expected at 7:30 p.m., while other airlines had not yet decided on resuming operations. He added that three aircraft from different carriers that arrived on Saturday remained at the airport because they could not depart, though one plane left on a technical flight to the United Arab Emirates around 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday.
