"We are not planning any changes to the functioning of the mission," an embassy spokesperson told Polish state news agency PAP on Thursday.
Russia's Foreign Ministry warned embassies accredited in Kyiv to evacuate their staff ahead of a potential massive strike on the city, threatening an offensive if Ukraine attempts to disrupt Moscow's Victory Day celebrations on Saturday.
Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova urged countries in a Telegram video to "treat this statement with utmost seriousness and ensure timely evacuation".
The European Union also pushed back against the threats. "Russia's public threats against Kyiv are part of its reckless escalation tactics", EU spokesman Anouar El Anouni said in Brussels, adding that Moscow was once again outrageously attempting to blame Ukraine for its own aggression. "As far as we are concerned, the EU does not intend to change its position or its presence in Kyiv", he said.
Russia's warnings stem from fears that Ukraine could strike Moscow on May 9, when Russia is set to hold a military parade marking the 81st anniversary of the Soviet victory over Nazi Germany in World War Two.
