Commenting on the migrant crisis, European Commission spokesman Adalbert Jahnz told a press conference in Brussels on Monday: “This is an attempt by a third country to instrumentalise people for political purposes, which we strongly reject and describe as a form of aggression.”

EU Commissioner for Home Affairs Ylva Johansson has told The New York Times that the standoff between Poland and Belarus "is not a migration issue, but part of the aggression" of Belarusian strongman Alexander Lukashenko "toward Poland, Lithuania and Latvia, with the aim to destabilize" the European Union.

Radio Poland's Michał Owczarek has the story.
