The talks, officially known as intergovernmental consultations, will be led by Poland’s Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and Lithuania’s Ingrida Šimonytė, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.

Major topics include regional security and joint energy and infrastructure projects, in addition to measures to stem an influx of illegal migrants crossing from neighboring Belarus, according to Polish government spokesman Piotr Müller.

Last September, Poland and Lithuania signed a strategic partnership declaration after wide-ranging talks in Vilnius, while also inking a joint declaration on their shared neighbor Belarus amid post-election tensions in that country.
