NATO demonstrates its capability in the vicinity of Poland - and Russia

In three days' time NATO begins the largest naval manouevres ever to take place in the Baltic Sea.

"Baltops 23" (Baltic Operations 23) are the largest ever naval exercises to take place in the Baltic Sea. 19 NATO member- and partner-states will participate - including Finland, which is participating for the first time as a NATO member.

Poland will be represented in Baltops 23 by the patrol corvette "ORP Ślązak" ("The Silesian"), the minelayer-landing ship "ORP Toruń" and the missile frigate "ORP General Kościuszko".

The exercises will continue until the 16 June, reaching their completion in Germany.
