According to the Prime Minister’s Office, during his visit to the Baltic Power service port, the head of the Polish government confirmed plans to bring together the Council’s members.

The Council of the Baltic Sea States brings together 11 countries - Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Sweden and Poland - along with the European Commision to promote cooperation on security, economic development and environmental protection in the region.

Poland advances offshore wind project

The Baltic Power offshore wind farm, located 23 km off the coast near Łeba and Choczewo, is Poland’s first and one of Europe’s largest, with 76 state-of-the-art turbines generating 1.2 GW of clean energy.

Scheduled for completion in late 2026, the project will supply power to over 1.5 million households and significantly reduce CO₂ emissions by 2.8 million tons annually.

The head of Polish government Donald Tusk described the initiative as a milestone for Poland’s energy independence and economic growth, highlighting the important role of Polish companies in the construction and servicing of the wind farm.
