Customers whose money was stolen over the weekend are expected to receive reimbursement on Monday, 27 October.
So far, police in Poznań - a major city in western Poland - have received around 70 reports of unauthorized withdrawals, while officers in Bydgoszcz, located in the north of the country, have collected about 50 such reports.
On Sunday, the Polish National Police said on social media that officers from the Economic Crime Bureau of the National Police Headquarters are monitoring reports nationwide of unauthorized withdrawals from individual bank accounts.
According to the statement, the reports currently concern clients of one bank only. Officers are focused on collecting evidence, analyzing case materials, and carrying out operations aimed at identifying and arresting those responsible.
