Rafał Leśkiewicz, spokesman for Polish President Karol Nawrocki, told private broadcaster Polsat News that Poland’s voice will still be considered in Washington, and that Nawrocki plans to discuss Ukraine-related issues during his upcoming visit to the US on September 3.

Earlier, Deputy Foreign Minister Teofil Bartoszewski told Polsat News that Trump “invites whomever he wants” and that neither Nawrocki nor Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk were invited to the talks in Washington.

During Friday's Alaska summit between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, no formal agreements were announced.

The discussions were later shared in an online briefing with European leaders, attended by Zelensky.

On Sunday, a European "coalition of the willing" held a video conference to discuss the next steps in peace negotiations over the conflict in Ukraine.

Poland was represented by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski, alongside the EU's von der Leyen and other heads of state.
