Mosbacher expressed disappointment that President Nawrocki did not attend alongside Presidents Zelensky and Trump, telling Polsat News: “It was probably Poland’s fault, more than anyone else’s. You have a new president, only recently sworn in, with an administration still settling in. They were waiting for an invitation to the White House.”
The former U.S. ambassador in Poland, who currently co-chairs the Three Seas Council at the Atlantic Council’s Europe Center in Washington and remains active in Republican politics, added that she hoped “the new Polish president will feel confident and recognise that Poland plays a crucial role in this war and maintains an independent stance.”
She also highlighted Nawrocki’s planned visit to the United States on 3 September, noting that President Trump’s early meeting with him shows “how important an ally Poland is for the U.S.”

“Deputy Minister Przydacz received a detailed report from the Foreign Ministry on the ‘Coalition of the Willing’ teleconference and knows that no attendance was registered. We have the transcript. It will not be easy to cooperate without respect for facts and basic goodwill,” Sikorski said.
Poland’s top diplomat also clarified via his X (formerly Twitter) account that “it is also untrue that only countries willing to send troops to Ukraine took part in the Coalition of the Willing.”
