Energy security and defence cooperation at the heart of ambassador’s agenda
On strategic issues, the ambassador highlighted energy security as a priority, noting that Poland should never again be dependent on actors who use energy as a geopolitical tool.
He referred to the country’s growing role as a key recipient of U.S. liquefied natural gas (LNG) and its partnership with American firm Westinghouse in building Poland’s first nuclear power plant in Choczewo, in northern Poland near the Baltic coast.
Rose assured that U.S.-Polish cooperation would continue to deepen both economically and militarily.
The diplomat thanked President Donald Trump for entrusting him with the diplomatic post and invoked the slogan “putting America first” to frame the partnership. He also praised Poland’s endurance through decades of communism as a source of inspiration.
Concluding his address, Rose spoke directly to Polish citizens, expressing his eagerness to meet people across the country and emphasising unity with the words, “Together we are stronger.”
