The reading was the same as a flash estimate by the statistics office at the end of last month.

In May, the prices of consumer goods and services in Poland were 2.9 percent higher than in the same month a year earlier, according to the Central Statistical Office.

The state-run statistics agency earlier this year said it had revised its system of weights used for calculating the consumer price index in Poland in 2020.
