A lack of protective measures - such as the Border Protection Mechanism currently being processed by the European Commission - may not only result in the long-term collapse of the Polish construction industry but also hamper the entire post-pandemic rescue plan for the economy.

In the wake of a conference of the Polish Cement Association just held in Warsaw, the sector is calling for legislative changes and barriers to protect the Polish market from being flooded with cement from Belarus, Ukraine, Turkey and China.
