Tiny implant allows Poles to pay with their palms

A new hi-tech idea developed and put into practice by a Polish innovator enables customers to pay with their palms while shopping.

The driving force behind the project is Wojciech Paprota, a 24-year-old businessman from the eastern city of Lublin who manages a Polish-British startup called Walletmor.

His palm payment implant has already been introduced in the European Union, Britain and Switzerland, and Walletmor is already working on increasing the functionality of the innovative implant so that in the future it can be used not only to pay at the checkout, but also to open doors of cars, houses and hotel rooms.
