In a video shared on his official social media channels, the Polish leader highlighted the country’s expanding defence capacity, citing major investments in military production.

“We will produce a million rounds a day,” Tusk said in the recording posted to platform X, filmed at the Mesko defence plant in the south-central town of Skarżysko-Kamienna.

“This is just the beginning,” Tusk said. “We’ve invested billions to make sure Poland can produce a million rounds a day - and most importantly, stay safe.”

Gen. Marek Sokołowski, commander of the Polish Armed Forces, welcomed the plan, saying it would bring the country closer to self-sufficiency and pave the way for future projects, including 155mm artillery shells.
