Wealthy ranks grow in Poland, 100,000 hold over PLN 4m (€920,000) — report

Poland’s affluent ranks are swelling, with about 100,000 people now holding assets above PLN 4 million (€920,000), “Rzeczpospolita” daily reported Wednesday, citing an EY-Parthenon analysis and IMF estimates.

According to the EY-Parthenon analysis obtained by the paper, the number of people with assets above PLN 400,000 (€92,000) has more than tripled over the past decade to 4 million, who together hold about 62% of national wealth.

The paper said growing prosperity is lifting demand for professional wealth-management services. It added that Poland is getting richer overall, even if per-capita measures remain less flattering.

Citing IMF calculations, the daily said Poland’s nominal GDP is projected to reach $980 billion in 2025 from $910 billion in 2024, placing the country among the world’s 20 largest economies and displacing Switzerland. In 2026, GDP could top $1 trillion.

According to the EY-Parthenon analysis obtained by the paper, the number of people with assets above PLN 400,000 (€92,000) has more than tripled over the past decade to 4 million, who together hold about 62% of national wealth. Those above PLN 4 million (€920,000) doubled to roughly 100,000.
