Poland ranks among Europe’s top producers of Christmas baubles, coming second only to the Netherlands and surpassing Germany, according to a report by the currency transaction firm Akcenta.

The country also holds a strong global position, placing fifth in worldwide bauble exports.

Despite these export figures, domestic consumers continue to favour more affordable decorations from China, leaving local producers struggling to compete at home.

In 2024, Polish ornaments sold abroad generated €85m, a 17% increase compared with the previous year.

Germany, the United States, and France were the largest importers, while other buyers included the Czech Republic, Austria, Slovakia, Russia, and even Australia.
