The 23rd Connect Aviation 2026 conference is scheduled for February 17-19 and will mark the first time the annual event is held in Poland.

Local authorities say the conference will be used to promote Lublin and the wider region as an investment destination for the aviation sector.

"We are proud to welcome representatives of the aviation industry from around the world and are confident this event will open new areas of cooperation for Lublin and the entire region," Lublin Mayor Krzysztof Żuk said in a statement, adding that the city is ready for further ambitious projects.

Jarosław Stawiarski, head of the regional government, said the forum will also showcase the area's tourism potential and business opportunities.

"We have an airport, strong road infrastructure and creative entrepreneurs from various sectors who are eager to expand abroad," Stawiarski said, describing the event as an opportunity to raise the region’s international profile.

Lublin Airport officials said hosting the forum could help strengthen the airport's position by facilitating cooperation with new airlines and airports, potentially leading to proposals for new routes.

"We are extremely proud to host one of the world's largest aviation events, especially as it will be held in Poland for the first time," Lublin Airport CEO Krzysztof Matuszczyk said.

Despite its relatively short history, the airport has steadily expanded its role as a transport hub for eastern Poland and a driver of regional growth, he added.

Officials said the event is also expected to benefit local businesses by attracting international investors and improving Lublin’s visibility on Europe’s transport map.

Family-owned small and medium-sized enterprises will have an opportunity to promote themselves globally, they said.
