Bulgaria recorded the lowest jobless rate in the bloc in April, at 2.8 percent, while the Czech Republic trailed Poland in third place, with 3.1 percent, according to the Eurostat agency.
Meanwhile, Finland had the highest seasonally-adjusted jobless rate in the EU, at 10.6 percent, and Spanish unemployment was the second-highest at 10.3 percent, according to the latest available data.
Eurostat reported on Monday that the EU average for April was 6 percent, unchanged from March and also stable compared with April 2025.
Poland's statistics office GUS, which uses a different methodology, reported last month that the Polish jobless rate fell to 6 percent in April, from 6.1 percent in March.
