Polish labour ministry proposes 3.7% minimum wage hike in 2027

Poland’s labour ministry has proposed a plan to increase the country’s minimum wage by 3.7 percent to PLN 4,986 (EUR 1,175, USD 1,365) a month from January next year.

Meanwhile, the minimum hourly rate would go up to PLN 32.60 (EUR 7.70, USD 8.95) effective January 1, 2027, the ministry said.

The proposed figures are still subject to approval by the Cabinet and consultation with the government’s social partners as part of the Council for Social Dialogue, state news agency PAP reported.

The country’s minimum monthly wage rose to PLN 4,806 at the start of this year, from PLN 4,666 at the end of 2025.

Meanwhile, the minimum hourly rate in Poland is currently set at PLN 31.40, up from PLN 30.50 at the end of last year.

The average gross Polish monthly wage in April was PLN 9,530.74 (EUR 2,250, USD 2,620), the state-run statistics office (GUS) announced last month.
