The annual International Defence Industry Exhibition, which runs until Friday, is the largest defence industry event in Poland and one of the most significant in Europe, organizers said.
Exhibitors include companies from the United States, Britain and Canada.
Adam Leszkiewicz, CEO of the state-owned Polish Armaments Group (PGZ), which helped organize the fair, said the event offers "a major opportunity to showcase the potential of the Polish defence industry."
He added that his company plans to sign several strategic cooperation agreements and launch new arms projects during the exhibition.
Global defence firms such as Airbus Helicopters, Leonardo, MBDA, Thales, Raytheon and Lockheed Martin are taking part, along with government officials from multiple countries, Polish state news agency PAP reported.
Polish Defence Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz and parliamentary Speaker Szymon Hołownia are among the top officials expected to attend.
First held in 1993, the Kielce exhibition is now in its 33rd year.
