There were around 867,600 people without jobs across the nation at the end of September, up by 10,300 from a month earlier, according to the government.
The state-run Statistics Poland agency (GUS) reported last month that the Polish jobless rate had risen to 5.5 percent in August, from 5.4 percent in July.
Meanwhile, the European Union's Eurostat statistics agency, which uses a different methodology, estimated this month that unemployment in Poland stood at 3.2 percent in August, marking one of the lowest rates in the 27-nation bloc.
