Polish finance minister to attend World Economic Forum in Davos

According to the Polish state news agency PAP, topics of his discussions will include the Polish economy, the geopolitical situation, and efforts to restore the competitiveness of the European economy.

The minister’s presence at the Davos summit is also linked to Poland’s invitation to this year’s G20 summit in Miami.

Confirming his attendance in Davos, Finance Minister Andrzej Domański told PAP that he considers Poland’s position as the world’s 20th largest economy and its growing influence on international economic discussions to be particularly significant.

The politicin said he plans to meet with other finance ministers and global leaders to discuss the sources of Poland’s economic success, international trade, the geopolitical situation, and the need to restore Europe’s economic competitiveness, describing Davos as an ideal platform for engaging with key figures in European and global economic policy.

The 56th World Economic Forum is scheduled to take place from 19 to 23 January 2026.

Founded in 1971 in Davos, Switzerland, the event is one of the world’s most prestigious economic and political summits, bringing together political leaders, including presidents and prime ministers, as well as figures from business, science, and culture.
