Around 45,200 housing units were completed nationwide between the start of January and the end of March, the Statistics Poland (GUS) office said.
It added that the number of housing starts in the first quarter of this year, at around 49,400 in total, was 11.4 percent lower than in the same period last year.
Meanwhile, overall output in Poland's construction-and-assembly sector inched up 0.4 percent in March year on year, while rising 2.1 percent month on month, the state-run statistics agency also reported.
After adjusting for seasonal factors, it said construction-and-assembly output was 2.1 percent lower than in March 2025 but 6.2 percent higher than in February 2026.
Builders completed around 208,400 new homes in Poland last year, 4.1 percent more than in 2024, Statistics Poland said in an estimate last month.
