The announcement came at the Choose France summit in Versailles – an annual forum launched by President Emmanuel Macron in 2018 to attract foreign capital.

Macron acknowledged the pledge on X, listing InPost among the companies "choosing France" and signing off with a single word in Polish: "Dziękuję!" – "Thank you."

InPost chief executive Rafał Brzoska, who said he was the only Polish business leader invited to a dinner with Macron, called the gesture self-explanatory.

"We are building a very strong image of Poland here in Paris," he said.

InPost has operated in France under the Mondial Relay brand since acquiring it in 2021, and has already invested EUR 900 million there, opening 20 logistics facilities and creating 600 jobs.

The company currently serves around 60,000 online retailers in the country.

The move cements its position as the largest Polish investor in France.

The firm said the new funds will go towards automating sorting and distribution hubs, expanding the parcel locker network and upgrading services for e-commerce retailers.

At least 750 new jobs are expected to follow.
