Though many may be longing to relax on a beach in the Mediterranean, or to sample some tasty local food during a trip to Asia, only 7.3 percent are considering a vacation abroad, the survey by Santander Consumer Bank found.

Adam Piwek from the bank said that, wary of the risks, Poles are avoiding trips overseas.

He added that people thinking about vacations are worried about the state of their wallets.

Poles "prefer to spend less on holidays so as not to dent the household budget too much," he said.
