It includes hundreds of coordination centres and thousands of volunteers who have signed up for a nationwide drive aiming to clean major Polish rivers, their tributaries and surroundings. This year’s event is being held with COVID-19 precautions in place.
“Cleaning should be carried out in smaller groups of a few people. They should wear facemasks and maintain social distancing. Let’s be cautious but effective,” said the campaign’s spokesperson, Izabela Sałamacha.
